Craftmanship

Craftsmanship is humanity’s way of transforming nature into culture, which can symbolically be seen as making the unconscious conscious, turning something unusable into something useful. It is a process of transformation, a creative act. For example, blacksmiths were regarded as transformers, even magicians, and the fact that Jesus was a carpenter may also be connected to this context. At the same time, the craftsman uses their hands, and carries an earthy, grounded quality.
