Vomiting, Nausea
When unconscious material suddenly flows in, one may feel dizzy, seasick, and even vomit. Another reason for vomiting in dreams could be fear. Certain animals vomit due to anxiety or fear when they are hunted.
However, vomiting can also symbolize an attempt or a compulsion to integrate something that the Self cannot accept for one reason or another. One's true self, so to speak, cannot digest it and thus throws it up again. Just as the body wants to expel harmful food or foreign bodies, the unconscious functions in a similar way. But it can also simply be something too repulsive to accept as part of oneself. (See also Consumption.) For example, if the dreamer is forced to adapt to a certain life situation that goes entirely against his or her character, a dream where he or she vomits might illustrate that situation.
Vomiting can also mean that the dreamer has chosen to "swallow" his or her feelings too much, for example. The stomach, the more true self, cannot tolerate the dreamer swallowing everything and throws it up in the dream.
