Landscape

Landscapes in dreams represent emotional states that are unconscious and therefore cannot be expressed or experienced more specifically. Particularly if the landscape leaves a strong impression, it may also be described as a “soul landscape,” reflecting an aspect of the dreamer’s psyche or a depiction of his psychological situation.

As a setting in the dream, the landscape (like a house, for example) can illustrate the situation we are in, but also the opportunities or risks the situation presents. For instance, an open, pleasant landscape may suggest the possibility of broader perspectives, while a hostile and dangerous landscape may indicate a more constrained, risky psychological situation.
