Oven

The oven is a vessel in the kitchen for transformation through the application of heat. (See respective keywords.) It is associated with the primordial mother, the "womb of nature," where new life is created, and transformation occurs through heat before eventually being born. If the heat becomes too intense, the process can cease, and life is destroyed; if it is too cool, nothing happens instead.

Legends tell of how Christ restores life to the dead by drawing them through the blacksmith's forge, just as the alchemist "forges" immortality in his heated vessel, or the yogi who achieves immortality through their inner crucible, located in the solar plexus.
