Vampire
Vampires are undead monsters that suck the blood or life force of living humans to sustain their own unholy existence. In dreams, they can represent something in our lives that attacks us and drains our energy—or something that risks doing so. We ourselves can also embody someone who drains others’ life energy. The desire to suck blood can symbolize a craving for life and energy (at the expense of others, in this case).
The image sometimes illustrates a dependent relationship with others. One party passively relies on the other to provide what is needed, possibly in terms of energy, activity, or psychological strength. This can lead to the other party feeling "drained" by the dependent individual.
Since the vampire uses its “oral desire” to satisfy itself with what others possess, vampirism can sometimes symbolize an infantile, symbiotic relationship with the other person. The vampire’s act of biting and penetrating unwilling victims suggests an aggressive undertone in the image; however, since vampires are generally perceived as eerie rather than overtly violent, the aggression might be more passive-aggressive.
